The new Excel ring and pinion gears from Richmond are manufactured to meet the exacting specifications required by Richmond. Excel gears are designed by Richmond Engineers with more than 70 years experience in gear design and manufacturing. Each detail in the manufacture of Excel gears has the Richmond stamp of approval. The gear design, tooling, steel selection, heat treat recipes and quality requirements are specified by Richmond. Excel is not just another gear that is being mass manufactured and marketed. Application: 1972-newer GM 8.5" & 8.6" rearends (10 bolt cover)
